Post about creating your own URL shortener using a customised Wordpress install. Tracks stats as well, with a tweaked plugin. Concerned about how upgradeable it is though, as it seems to need quite a few tweaks to WP and some plugins to set up.

Article about archiving your tweets using this OPML Editor "tool", written by Dave Winer, in conjunction with the OPML Editor. Looks like a very robust solution, as it archives your friend's tweets too.
